Together with international partners, we have released CI Fortify- Advice for isolating systems to help organisations and Critical Infrastructure (CI) operators isolate vital Operational Technology (OT) systems and maintain essential services during periods of crisis or service disruption. State-sponsored actors and cybercriminals routinely target Australian CI to conduct espionage and pre-position for disruptive and destructive cyber effects. Ongoing geopolitical instability and emerging technologies, including advanced AI, are increasing the capability and intent of malicious actors. This publication outlines steps CI operators and cyber teams can take to isolate their vital OT and enabling systems from all other networks. Following these steps supports operators in maintaining their critical service in periods of crisis or service disruption.
